Why we ask for it
Your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is a 17-character code unique to your specific vehicle. It tells us the exact trim, options, and equipment your car has — including whether it has a camera-based ADAS system, heated wiper park, rain sensor, or heads-up display — so the correct glass is ordered the first time. It's optional, but it helps avoid delays from ordering the wrong part.
Where to find it
The most common location is a small plate visible through the base of the windshield on the driver's side, viewable from outside the car. It's also printed on your vehicle registration and insurance card, and often on a sticker inside the driver's door frame.
