How Much Does Windshield Replacement Cost?

Cost depends on your vehicle, the glass required, and whether ADAS calibration applies.

Why there's no single answer

Windshield pricing varies more than people expect, mainly because windshields themselves vary enormously. A base windshield on an older vehicle with no sensors is a very different part from a windshield with an embedded camera bracket, acoustic interlayer, rain sensor, heating elements, and heads-up display compatibility.

The biggest cost factors

Vehicle make, model, and trim determine which glass specification is required. Whether your vehicle needs ADAS calibration after installation is often the single largest additional cost, since it requires specialized equipment or a structured road test.

Glass type also plays a role — OEM (original equipment manufacturer) glass, OEE (original equipment equivalent), and aftermarket glass are priced differently, though all should meet applicable safety standards.

Getting an accurate number

The most reliable way to get accurate pricing is to provide your vehicle's year, make, model, and — ideally — VIN, so the exact glass and calibration requirements can be confirmed before you're quoted a price.
